Saylor Bailey

Saylor Ann Bailey began dancing at the age of 3 in North Carolina. She began her competitive training in California and continued after moving to the Kansas City area. Saylor competed and won many top titles and awards at major competitions as well as attended many conventions throughout the country. Saylor attended college at Kansas State University with a dance scholarship.

While at K-State, Saylor attended and performed in many American College Dance Festivals, Kansas Dance Festivals, and department dance concerts and musicals. She was chosen to be assistant choreographer in Kansas State's "Fiddler on the Roof". While in college, she was accepted as an apprentice into Ann Reinking's Broadway Theatre Project in Tampa FL. While at BTP, Saylor studied and worked side by side with New York's top Directors, Producers, Choreographers, and Vocal Coaches including Jay Binder of Binder Casting, Ben Vereen, Terrence Man, Dave Clemmons, Nancy Dussault and Jan Horvath. In 2010, Saylor was honored to serve as assistant to the BTP Assistant Director as well as teach a few dance classes for actors. After graduating with a duel degree in Theatre and Women's Studies, Saylor moved to New York City where she was honored to be accepted to STEPS on Broadway’s internship program and continued to audition and perform throughout the city.

Saylor was chosen to be Kansas State University's Dance department's guest artist as well as Choreographer for the Theatre Departments Fall musical production of "Little Shop of Horrors". Saylor's choreography has received many awards and special recognition's all over the country, including "Choreographer of the Year" from Starpower Talent National Competition. Saylor has trained dancers who have gone on to L.A, NYC, Chicago, and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Many of her current dancers can be seen all over the country as apprentices for the Tremaine Performance Company as well as assisting other major dance conventions.

In July 2017, Saylor opened The Dance Force with the vision of providing a dance studio that provided strong and proper technique within a family environment. Everyone who walks in the doors is truly family!

Saylor feels it is vital to continue her dance training and education. She continues to judge for many dance competitions, teach at conventions and guest choreographs for competitive programs throughout the country.

Saylor is the director of our PNT Apprentice program and will be teaching some amazing tap and turns and progressions classes this weekend.
