Tarrah Lybarger

Tarrah grew up dancing competitively and began teaching dance while in high school. While in college, she helped to start a dance program for children with special needs. She loves bringing joy to everyone through dance, and this program made her even more grateful for the opportunity to do what she loves. After graduating with a degree in Organizational Communications and a minor in Education, she moved to California where she was represented by Go To Talent Agency. She continued to teach and train there and eventually moved back home to Kansas City. Tarrah is now the director of Empire Dance Academy's Young Artists Program. Her performance credits include an ESPN special with Paula Abdul, Ginuwine’s KC tour, the McFadden Brothers, multiple performances with That’s Entertainment KC, Seamless Dance Theatre, various commercials, music videos, and films. She choreographs locally and around the Midwest for studios, dance teams, and many shows. She enjoys teaching tap, jazz, technique, jazz funk, lyrical, heels, and musical theatre. Tarrah’s patience and the relationships she forms with her dancers is something very special. Her passion for both dance and children is unmatched.
